Initial Thoughts: This ticket is the clear underdog of the three, but I think they know it and have structured their campaign around it. David Pope is very well known around campus, mostly for his work with UNI Proud and his op-eds and "Grit 'n' Glam" columns for the Northern Iowan. It's clear from his work with the LGBT community that David has a passion for helping the students of this campus, but on the flip side, he is also notorious for having a very extravagant and uncensored personality, which could be a good thing or a bad thing in the eyes of some potential voters. Katie Grassi's lack of NISG experience is something this ticket should be worried about, especially when compared to the other two vice presidential candidates. But their campaign slogan, which seems to be "David and Katie are different," shows a surprising self-awareness that I think will set them apart from the other two tickets. This ticket will need to campaign more than the other two tickets to compensate for their lack of experience, but they are well on their way.
